At Nickel Composite Coatings, Inc., we offer electroplating of aluminum, iron, and steel parts up to 3’ in diameter and 4’ in height. Electroplating options include electrolytic nickel with either boron nitride or silicon carbide coatings, as well as electroless, black, bright, and dull nickel, among others. Nickel plating increases the lubricity and wear resistance of a part, while the relatively ductile nickel material resists cracking or scratching better than many other plated metals. We have multiple plating lines, which allows us to process parts very quickly after the specific process has been developed for a given part and application.

Prior to plating, all parts are thoroughly degreased and cleaned to provide a substrate that will adhere to the plating material. Plating is performed using racks that are placed in immersion tanks to achieve the most thorough and uniform plating results. Processing lines are automated with precision temperature, current, and timer controls to ensure premium quality results that meet customer specifications with a high degree of consistency from between batches. Testing, such as adhesion and micro-harness testing can be performed in-house in accordance with all applicable ASTM standards.
